On Sept. 14, 1971, a man took a picture of Our Lady's statue on the sacred grounds with a Polaroid instant camera. What developed on the spot sixty seconds later were the words JACINTA 1972, in eerie supernatural scrawl across the photo.

The date 1972 refers to little Jacinta of Fatima's prophecy given to Sister Godinho (the nun caring for her at her deathbed) that her Order “...might always remain united with the Vatican, and that they should prepare themselves for the year 1972...” because man's sins would bring on the world such punishments and cause much suffering to the Holy Father, “the poor litttle one.” The Holy Father Pope Paul VI was a prisoner of his cardinals in the Vatican from 1972 onwards.

Our Lady gave these instructions: “My child, the picture JACINTA must be read by all of Earth's children. You will give them this direction, My child. If it is in the will of the Eternal Father that they be graced to receive the truth, they will observe carefully and examine the photograph miraculous JACINTA 1972. You will read the wording JACINTA and search for lines and figures and numbers. Within the miraculous picture is given the date by God the Father for the chastisement of mankind.”
